About these Terms

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the KaryaYogi Android app, and the optional web workspace at my.karyayogi.in if you choose to enable it. KaryaYogi is published by KaryaYogi ("we", "us", "our").

By installing or using KaryaYogi, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle any personal data.

KaryaYogi is a private planning and productivity tool for your own use. It is not an official Government of India application, and it does not replace or connect to any authorised system of record such as eOffice, HRMS, APAR, pay systems, sanction files, GeM, GFR, CGHS, or DoPT portals. Nothing in the app is an official communication, order, or record.

Your licence to use KaryaYogi

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use KaryaYogi on devices you control, for your own lawful planning and productivity purposes.

This licence does not transfer ownership. The app, its 74 tools, its design, and its underlying software remain the property of KaryaYogi and its licensors. You may not copy, resell, rent, sub-licence, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source of the app, except to the limited extent that applicable law permits despite this restriction.

You do not need to create an account to use the app. Basic use is offline-first: the tools are designed to work with the SIM removed and without any network connection.

Acceptable use

You agree to use KaryaYogi lawfully and responsibly. In particular, you agree that you will:

• use the app only for your own legitimate planning and productivity work;
• not use it to store or process anything that you are not authorised to hold on a personal device;
• not attempt to break, probe, or bypass the app's security, or interfere with the optional sync service or web workspace;
• not use the app to do anything unlawful, or in a way that infringes another person's rights.

You are responsible for the content you enter into the app and for keeping your device secure. Where your work involves official records, remember that the authorised government system remains the record of truth, not KaryaYogi.

Outputs are private planning aids, not official advice

Every output KaryaYogi produces — estimates, calculations, drafts, checklists, timelines, and exports — is a private planning aid for your own reference. It is not legal, financial, tax, medical, or official advice, and it is not an authorised government determination.

The planning tools produce private drafts and estimates only. The app does not submit, file, forward, or register anything with any authority on your behalf, and generating a document inside KaryaYogi has no official effect. An official PDF or WhatsApp export is a convenience for you to share manually; it carries no authority of its own.

Before you rely on any output for an official, legal, or financial purpose, verify it against the relevant rules and the authorised system of record. You remain responsible for your own decisions.

No warranty on estimates and calculations

KaryaYogi's calculators and estimators use general assumptions and the information you supply. Rules, rates, and formulae change, and your particular circumstances may differ. We therefore do not warrant that any estimate, figure, or draft is accurate, complete, current, or fit for a specific official purpose.

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under Indian consumer law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Security, backups, and Emergency Reset

Your data on the device is held in an AES-256 encrypted local vault. You can lock the app with your device biometric or a PIN. A one-tap encrypted local backup produces a file that you control — please store it safely, because we cannot recover it for you.

Emergency Reset wipes all local KaryaYogi data from the device. This is deliberate and cannot be undone by us. Use it with care, and keep a backup first if you may need your data later.

You are responsible for safeguarding your device, your PIN or biometric, and your backup files. If you lose them, we may be unable to help you recover the data stored only on your device.

Optional paid sync and web workspace

The KaryaYogi app and all 74 tools are free. Optional cloud sync and the web workspace at my.karyayogi.in are a paid plan. You do not have to use them, and the app remains fully usable offline without them.

If you subscribe, sync data is encrypted and hosted in India, keyed to your account. Fees, the billing cycle, and what the plan includes are shown at the point of purchase before you pay; that displayed information forms part of your agreement with us. Any applicable taxes are as required under Indian law.

You may cancel a paid plan at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless we state otherwise at purchase. We do not run ads, embed trackers, or sell your personal data on any plan.

Data protection and your rights

For personal data governed by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), KaryaYogi acts as the Data Fiduciary and you are the Data Principal.

In plain terms, this means we handle your personal data only for the purposes you have agreed to, take reasonable steps to keep it secure, and support your rights — including the right to access a summary of your data, to ask us to correct or complete it, to have it erased when it is no longer needed, and to raise a grievance. You can exercise these rights, or withdraw consent for optional processing, using the contacts below. Our Privacy Policy explains the detail.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, KaryaYogi is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use KaryaYogi — including any reliance on an estimate, draft, or export.

Because the app is offered free (with only optional paid sync), and outputs are private planning aids you are expected to verify, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim connected with the app is limited to the amount, if any, you actually paid us for the paid plan in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Indian law, including liability for fraud.

Changes to the app and these Terms

We may update, add, or remove tools and features, and we may update these Terms from time to time — for example to reflect new features, security improvements, or changes in the law. When we make a material change to these Terms, we will make the updated version available in the app or on our site and update the effective date.

If you continue to use KaryaYogi after an updated version takes effect, that means you accept the change. If you do not agree, you should stop using the app; you can also take an encrypted local backup before you do.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any right you have under Indian law to approach the appropriate forum or authority (including under the DPDP Act), the courts in India will have jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms and your use of KaryaYogi.
